Selective Focus: Stack Prints
Please tell us about the medium you work in, and how you came to work in your style.
Stack Prints is a pizza-eating boy band of four Duluth-based graphic designers, Cody, Taylor, Stephen, & Tyler. We run an online store, pull squeegees in our screen print shop, and advocate for art & design education. We’re kinda like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
How long have you been working in this medium?
We’ve always been avid pizza eaters. In fact Stephen’s great great grandad, Papa Pepperoni, immigrated to the US with nothing but a sack of sausage and a dream. Just think. If we ban all foreign pizza aficionados from entering our country, we’ll never be able to make America great again.

Stack cofounder Cody Paulson coaches a couple of curious minds during Stack’s live screen printing exhibition at the Duluth Art Institute’s Youth Art Month last March.
What are the challenges of doing what you do?
Well there’s obesity of course. But we like to think we’re ferocious enough with the squeegee pulling to burn off all those calories.

Posters designed and printed by Stack for their MEGA BUY pop-up store at Prove Gallery last June. Clockwise: Cody Paulson, Tyler Johnson, Stephen Pestalozzi, Taylor Bjork
Where can people see your work?
We put on live pizza-eating exhibitions every Thursday at local pizzerias across town. Also at StackPrints.com (best viewed with post-slice greasy fingers).
Top 5 Instagram accounts?
Off of the top of our heads: @meatwreck, @spasskyfischer, @andys_eyes, @purveyors_of_packaging, and of course @stack_prints.
