Make sure you get one who understands that s/he works for you, not the realtor.  I loved the one who helped me, because he was able to help me understand $16,000 in repairs in the next three years, repairs which would only serve to maintain the value, not increase it.  Ouch!

We used Paul Bugge for an inspection (we were the buyer).  He was great to deal with, friendly, and helpful.
