The area we now call Southpark, a scant few miles from there, was actually the place they'd go to relax after performing unspeakable barbarous acts over long distances on horseback. Could you imagine a posse of mounted warriors suddenly appearing on stage thrust out of the space-time continuum fog machine just as the band was climaxing?  The natives would become restless, and by evening's end, there'd be nothing left but smoldering embers and the distant cry of some banjo lover being roasted alive in a cowhide.
