Hey! Where ya taking that there dredger?

I’ve never seen a tug this far up the shore – photo was taken from the pier at Glensheen. Anyone know where they were taking this dredger?

That could be the corp of engineers. They work as far east as the upper part of Michigan, or they did in the past.  

If that is the corp, I believe it is towing the last crane built by Duluth Engineering or DEMCO that ended up as the final chapter of the old Clyde Iron Works. Another sad bygone era.

This has been in front of McQuade Harbor all day. It looks like one of those barrel recovery rigs.

Today's DNT says the Red Cliff band is renewing the barrel search.
