2012 Duluth Bike/Ped Public Meetings
Save the date for one of four upcoming bicycle/pedestrian meetings in Duluth. Each two-hour meeting starts promptly at 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 21st, at
City Center West (5830 Grand Ave) - Thursday, February 23rd, at
Portman Community Center (4601 McCulloch St) - Tuesday, February 28th, at
Central Hillside Community Center (12 E 4th St) - Thursday, March 1st, at
UMD Kirby Student Center, Griggs Room (KSC 201)
These meetings will be hosted by the Healthy Duluth Area Coalition, and will cover a number of ongoing bike and pedestrian projects happening in Duluth. If you attend, you will learn more about these projects, have an opportunity to provide input, and learn how you can help make walking and bicycling safer in Duluth. Each meeting will follow the same format, so feel free to attend whichever one fits best within your schedule.

- Results from the 2010 Duluth Bicycle Assessment
- City of Duluth Trails and Bikeways Master Plan
- Lakewalk to Munger “Cross-City Trail”
- The Safe and Walkable Hillside community group
- Redesign studies of 6th Avenue East
- Lincoln Park/Western Middle School pedestrian studies
- Higher Education Small Area Plan
- Duluth citywide sidewalk study
- COGG’s “Duluth Traverse” citywide mt. bike trail
- Possibility of a bike share program in Duluth
- Possibility of a mid-hill bike lane through the hillside
