Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward

UMD Theatre presents Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward
February 17-19 & 23-26 @ 7:30 pm
February 20 @ 2 pm
Mainstage Theatre, Marshall Performing Arts Center

Directed by Kate Ufema

This improbable comedy/farce directed by Kate Ufema, in two acts, begs the question: What does a man do if his dead wife comes back to haunt him from the grave?  “Anything might happen when I am in a trance.”  A séance, held by an eccentric clairvoyant, leads to a most unusual and unlikely set of circumstances in this high ‘spirited’ masterpiece.  A servant of ‘speed’, a woman of ‘vision’, and a love triangle to ‘die’ for have made Blithe Spirit a classic in its genre, and one of Noel Coward’s most performed and celebrated works.
