    My favorite sign at Piedmont is:

    6,999 1/2 miles

    … which is followed a half mile later with another sign:

    6,999 miles

    Piedmont is our 8 year-old’s favorite trail by far, and the signs are the reason. “Take the Plunge” is her favorite, I think, although as kind of a space nut “The Eagle Has Landed” gets some points too.
