IFP Cinema Lounge in Duluth

IFP Media Arts‘ hit screening series, Cinema Lounge, will showcase short films by Duluth-area filmmakers at 7PM on Friday, Nov. 5 at Duluth’s Zinema2 Theater. The filmmakers will be in attendance for a Q&A, hosted by award-winning director Stephen Gurewitz. The Zeitgeist Arts Café will host the post-screening party. The event is sponsored by Zinema2, Zeitgeist Arts, the Canal Park Lodge, and the Upper MN Film Office. Cinema Lounge is curated by Duluth filmmaker Maxwell Becker.

The night will also feature a “How to Apply” workshop for the McKnight Fellowships in screenwriting and filmmaking. The McKnight Fellowships offer four $25,000 grants for mid-career Minnesota artists each year. IFP Funding Director Lu Lippold will talk about IFP’s other film granting programs as well: the MNTV short film series and the Fresh Filmmaker Production Grant.
