Backstage at RT’s during Father Hennepin I had this thought.

Community more than anything is synergies. Cooperative adaptation. The more. The multiplier. Goodness passing among us as an expression of the real love we can will ourselves to feel for every person we touch,  and we actually touch all of them.

The downside to community is that it becomes a clique, passing hostility rather than love to anyone who is not considered “one of us.” Gooble gobble.

    True community grows.

Community is subjective to your parameters. We need to emphasize that ALL are welcome into the community we are trying to grow, otherwise people may feel intimidated because of the factors referenced by Fergus.

Barb, I liked your post. I was definitely feeling that same goodness in the steamy crowd that you were feeling backstage.

Fergus, “I’m rubber and you’re glue” . . . and what you’re putting out there comes right back to you.

    First, I didn’t know RT’s had a back stage.
Second, I think fergus is making a valid point. Doulbedutch I don’t think they are saying thats how it should be rather, in fact, that is how it is sometimes. If you’ve ever been on the outside looking in you’d know exactly what they are talking about. I take it rather as a polite reminder to all of us, whatever our group, of our proclivity to exclude ones we don’t see as “us”. This often happens on a very subconscious level. Peace to all.

Everyone has been “on the outside looking in”. I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re looking in and thinking, “what a bunch of elitist a-holes,” um yes, that is what you will encounter. But the reverse is true, too. If you want friends, be a friend.

Oh yeah, W.T.F, I also had no idea RT’s has a back stage, and I’ve played there!

doubledutch I just reread my post and I don’t see any reference or implication of a judgement that anyone is “a bunch of elitist assholes”. Please reread my last three sentences of the previous post. Hopefully you will see it as positive and hopeful. But here is the hard reality in a world of 6 to 8 billion people: there are a lot of assholes and some are on the inside looking out and trying to keep the doors locked and other asshole are sometimes on the outside trying to kick the door in. Alas, as I tried to say above, those who want community must keep it present in our mind and not get sucked in on either side of the door of hatred. Once again, PEACE to ALL
PS, dont know fergus or there exact point but I know mine and it’s peace and love.

The backstage at RT’s is just the stairwell that goes up by stage left.
