Re:     Kirby Drive/Library Dr. Closure Update
North End of Kirby Dr and all Library Dr
Monday, August 3 – Thursday, August 6, 2009

Due to equipment failure and the weekend weather, Library Drive and the
north end of Kirby Drive from above the LSBE Turn-Around to St. Marie
Street closure has been extended through this Thursday, August 6. The
entrances to Lot D, Lot E and the Library Lot remain closed during this
time.  Lot E and Lot G are open.  Please access Lot E through Lot G.
It is also recommended not to use the main Library Entrance during this
time.  Please access the Library via the Engineering Building Entrance
0off University Dr.  This road closure is needed for crews to repair the
roadway and is weather dependent.

Come and see Mayra for some of the best home made soap in the Upper Midwest!

Why is it scheduled for mid afternoon? Some of us have to work during the day. If it was over the lunch hour or a bit after 5 pm, more people could show up.

I think it should be at about 3:30am. That would be a good time for me. Why isn't it at 3:30am?

x2 for Shane's comment.

I guess I can dream on but it would be nice to have some free-range, wild game and/or grass-fed meats - including lamb and venison - at any of the farmer's markets.

The UMD market is fun but there HAS to be more interesting farm products around here. Right?

The farmer's market on 14th Avenue East and 3rd Street has free-range chickens and turkeys, as well as grass-fed beef and pork. There's also cheese, which is excellent. In fact, I just bought some about 15 minutes ago.

I think you have to sign up for the turkeys. I'm not sure about lamb, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

7am-noon, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Oh, and there are usually eggs as well.

Farmers Market please on days other than Weds and Sat. I work 9-5 and Saturday is for doing stuff!

How about Farmer's Market tuesday and thursday from 5pm-7pm. I hear some people may eat food around that time, although I'm not sure.

There's a new farmer's market at the Miller Hill Mall of all places on Thursdays. I think it starts at like 2:00 or 2:30 and runs 'till 6:00? Anybody have the actual info? I know that Bruce Savage is selling wild rice and syrup up there, but I neglected to get more (accurate) details. It's in front of the newer store that bumps out a bit next to the JC Penney.

Going to the market Saturday morning doesn't count as "doing stuff"?

Yep the mall has a Farm's Market every Thursday through September from 2-6 outside of Coldwater Creek. There is a pretty big selection of goods being sold.
