North Country Trail Group Hike at Pattison Park

Superior-St. Croix-Brule Hikers, a group of volunteers working to develop and improve the North Country Trail in northwest Wisconsin, have organized this short hike/snowshoe through Pattison State Park. Jon H. is the hike leader.

The group is meeting at 10 a.m. in the parking lot by the pay station near the park entrance. Vehicle admission fees apply.

The trail goes to the Little Manitou Falls and is icy near the falls, so ice cleats are encouraged. The hike is about 1.5 miles on the Beaver and Little Manitou Falls Trails sections for the North Country Trial, and another 1.5 miles back for a 3-mile hike.

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring water, snacks, trekking poles, ice cleats, and whatever might be needed for hiking or snowshoeing.
