
Matinee Musicale: Georgia Jacobson and Ryan Wolfe

Matinee Musicale continues its 2026-27 season with a performance by mezzo-soprano Georgia Jacobson and baritone Ryan Wolfe.
Jacobson is a Duluth native whose recent engagements include Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Carmen with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, Siddhartha, She at the Aspen Music Festival and A Little Night Music with Lyric Opera of the North. She won first place in the National Opera Association’s 2020 Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition.
Wolfe is an Illinois native who was a national semifinalist in the Dominique and Eric Laffont Competition and a recipient of a Career Development Grant from the Sullivan Foundation. During his two years as a Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist at Los Angeles Opera, he amassed more than 40 performances with the company from leading roles to comprimario roles including a morning-of jump in for the final dress rehearsal as the title role in El último sueño de Frida y Diego. Wolfe has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Santa Fe Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Richmond Symphony.
Adult tickets are $35 in advance at matineemusicale.org, and $40 at the door. Tickets for senior citizens are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Student admission is free.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and after the concert, attendees are invited to meet Jacobson and Wolfe during a free reception.
Matinee Musicale is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that has brought world-class chamber music to the Duluth-Superior area since 1900. Its annual concert series focuses on young, rising artists.
