Informational Meeting: Lakewalk and Coastal Improvements Project

Construction on the Duluth Lakewalk required a temporary closure between Leif Erikson Park and Water Street. The Lakewalk and Coastal Improvements Project includes a full reconstruction of the Lakewalk between Endion Station in Canal Park and approximately 27th Avenue East (just east of the London Road underpass).

The project includes retreating the trail from the shoreline where possible, coastal revetment and restoration, improving and consolidating water access locations, rerouting at key locations to improve safety and accessibility, and new wayfinding, interpretive elements and site amenities.

The Sept. 3 informational meeting, via Microsoft Teams, provides an overview of the project, reviews construction plans, shares updates on anticipated construction schedules, and offers an opportunity for questions.
