December’s full Moon rises at 3:45 p.m., reaches fullness at 6:33 p.m., and sets at 8:30 a.m. and set on Dec. 27 at 8:57 a.m.

Qouth Farmer’s Almanac: “During this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and nights are at their longest and darkest. It is also sometimes called the Moon before Yule. … The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.”
