Flock Artfest

The organizers of Duluth Winter Village and Gourd Days are reinventing the summer art experience in Bayfront, calling it Flock Artfest. It’s a weekend of art, creativity and community on the shores of Lake Superior. The event runs Aug. 21-22.

The two-day festival provides opportunities to browse original work from a wide range of artists, watch live art being created and take part in hands-on art classes and interactive experiences. There are activities for all ages, including a dedicated Kid Artist Tent designed to inspire young creatives.

In addition to the art, attendees will have access to a variety of food trucks, along with beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic options throughout the event.

Installations include a 20-foot-by-20-foot dichroic film piece, a big crate bird and chalk art by David Sundaram.
