Author Talk: Ryan Rodgers

Outdoor writer and paddler Ryan Rodgers will discuss his new book, Where the Green Light Shines: A Fifty-Year Odyssey from the Boundary Waters to the Far North. The event offers North Shore readers an opportunity to hear Rodgers discuss the history, people and wilderness landscapes behind his new book. Spanning more than a century of wilderness exploration, the book explores the evolution of canoe travel from the legendary Arctic expeditions of the nineteenth century to the vibrant paddling culture of today. At the heart of the story is renowned canoeist Bob O’Hara, whose six decades through the Boundary Waters and the remote Canadian barrens illuminate a little-known chapter in North American outdoor history.
