Author Talk: Jill D. Swenson

This Author Talk features Jill D. Swenson, author of The Land of Everlasting Sky, and Naomi Yaeger, author of Blooming Hollyhocks. It includes a boxed lunch.

In her braided memoir, Swenson returns to her mother’s hometown and uncovers difficult truths about her family’s connection to land within the Red Lake Nation. Blending personal loss with carefully researched history, she explores land, identity, inherited stories and the importance of reckoning with the past. Swenson was also Yaeger’s developmental editor and mentor for Blooming Hollyhocks: Tales of Joy During Hard Times.
