The Lowertown Line: Cloud Cult

Twin Cities Public Television’s live-performance music show, The Lowertown Line, features Cloud Cult performing on the Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza for the opening of the 2015 Northern Spark art festival.

The band’s new album, The Seeker, is scheduled for a Feb. 12 release with a concert in Duluth at Grandma’s Sports Garden on March 11. There will also be a show at Papa Charlie’s in Lutsen on Feb. 6, one week prior to the album release.

PDD was lucky enough to be invited to shoot photos for the pilot of the MN Orginal program “The Lowertown Line” at Twins Cities Public Television. The Lowertown Line, is a music special hosted by hip hop artist Dessa and featuring bluegrass band Trampled By Turtles and their special guest, fellow Duluth native Alan Sparhawk of Low. The Lowertown Line’s five song set and insightful conversation was recorded with a live studio audience.

Twin Cities Public Television is launching a new live-performance music show similar to Austin City Limits. It’s called The Lowertown Line, and the pilot episode will feature Duluth’s Trampled by Turtles. The taping is scheduled for Oct. 24 at TPT’s studio in Lowertown, St. Paul.
