Open Mic Night at the Backstage
Big Top Chautauqua’s year-round performance space hosts an open mic event on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. with a special guest host, offering attendees the opportunity to sing a song, play a tune, tell a joke or tell a story.

Northern Lights Music Festival Concerto Competition Winners Concert 2026
The Northern Lights Music Festival Orchestra performs with the winners of the Helen Bradach Zuponcic Concerto Competition. The show is in the Veda Zuponcic Auditorium at Mesabi East High School.
Tickets are $20 for adults and free for ages 18 and under.
One of Minnesota’s largest music festivals, the Northern Lights Music Festival offers lovers of classical music three weeks of opera, chamber music and orchestra concerts presented by an international roster of guest artists, performing faculty and prize-winning young artists. Mackie Brothers
Mackie Brothers is a Duluth-based acoustic trio composed of Mark Connolly, Dan Vaught and Ed Esselstrom. The group plays a variety of hits from the past and present.
