A guided meditation for people of all ages and skill levels. Attendees are encouraged to bring water, a blanket/yoga mat or cushion and to dress in layers to keep comfortable with the changing winds off the lake. Feel free to bring a lawn chair for a 45-minute sit. Registration not required. Rain location will be at Brico Collective, 315 W. 1st St., Suite 204 in Duluth. WLSSD has partnered with Duluth Folk School and Duluth Makerspace to host regular events where people can learn how to fix their stuff. The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve and Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve host this volunteer event focused on removing spotted knapweed from the Lot #5 section of Wisconsin Point. Spotted knapweed is a prolific non-local plant that, when widespread, can prevent native plants from growing and decrease the biodiversity of the habitat.
