Ecstatic dance is free-form movement inspired by music. The Ecstatic Dance Duluth group holds dances on the second Friday and last Sunday of each month. The focus is on exercise without a nightclub vibe. Each dance is a different 75- to 90-minute eclectic playlist in a “wave form.” Depending on the dance, a range of various styles of music are woven together into an hour-plus long playlist including anything from world, reggae, jazz, blues, rock, folk, Latin, tribal, club, house,…

ShipRock Management invites neighbors to visit the the newly renovated Lincoln Park amphitheater for an evening of family-friendly music, food trucks and massages. Duluth Chamber Music Festival musicians are joined by Brianna Crockett of the Minnesota Ballet in a program that celebrates movement and music. The ensemble will perform works from the Baroque period to the present, including dance selections from J.S. Bach's Cello Suite and a lush string quartet by the Pulitzer-prize winning American composer Caroline Shaw. The beloved and turbulent Piano Quartet by Robert Schumann concludes the program. $20 suggested donation.
