Women’s Rugby in Duluth
Are you familiar with rugby? Would you like to learn about this up-and-coming sport? Two former ruggers are interested in bringing women’s rugby to the Duluth area. I think if you ask around, you’ll find that except for a recent hiatus, Duluth has had a great women’s rugby club for 25 to 30 years. The hardworking coach, Steve Knauss, owner of Thirsty Pagan Brewing, worked with the club for many years after Eva Lemke relocated. You may want to punch in with Steve (and don’t forget the TP’s great pizza and beer).
There is still currently a Women’s Team at UMD but we are looking to start an Adult Women’s Club that is not affiliated with a campus. Thank you for the information though, we will connect with him for sure.
