That’s the only lyric I remember from Roger Johnson and Dave Strandberg’s “The Twelve Days of Christmas” from their “R.J. & Dave” morning show on 99 WAKX FM.
Oh, wait. I think there were “seven bricks-a-laying” because Superior Street was being bricked.
It scares me how time goes by so fast. I remember that. It sure doesn’t seem like 25 years ago.
Great job on the archive of this Andrew! I enjoyed reading it very much, brought back so many memories. Also special appreciation to @AstroBob who is STILL at the DNT. He’s captured that picture above and tens, maybe hundreds of thousands more pics of Duluth history over the years. The man is a city treasure. I hope Donny gives him a plaque or something someday.
