Duluth Salad Bars in 2010
So since everyone did me right on the cake question on my birthday, now I want to know: Other than Old Country Buffet, is there a restaurant in town that has a salad bar? I can’t think of one off the top of my head.

Do you count the co-op?
Mt. Royal’s deli section?
Downtown Sammy’s Pizza
Upper Deck Restaurant and Lounge in Superior.
Z’s Deli has a salad bar during lunch hours…I love it. It’s not serve yourself, but it’s delicious.
Hey Jessi, the Pizza Hut on London Road has salad bar and pizza bar for lunch.
Godfathers in Superior with the lunch buffet.
The Coney Island on First Street. Bring your dad!
These are great. Are there more like the Upper Deck? I should have been more specific: sit-down, mom-and-pop, almost supper-clubby.
Though I will personally attest that the Mt. Royal salad bar is killer.
Get out of the 1950s, Jessige. Salad bars are messy, unhygienic and usually only serve iceberg lettuce, which has little nutritional value. Go for quality, not quantity in your food choices.
Not a fan of Sammy’s in any fashion. SALT! SALT! SALT! The pizza sauce is enough to pop an artery.
Sammy’s, salt and popping arteries are three of my favorite things.
Get out of the 2010s, topofthehillman. It’s all about retro these days. Don Draper loves a good salad bar.
Second that
jessige & Mary K (of the milky way?) Don also loves a good “cocktail” but salad bars fell out of favor as they are hard to keep up when dressing is drippin, and one dish falls into another. Besides no matter how “in” retro is-ice berg is ice berg, no matter who much Dorothy Lynch French Dressing you somther on it!
