Alright kids, the sun is out, the birds are chirpin and vitamin D is flowing through our veins again! Put on a dirty pair of undies cause its time to get physical. Yep you guessed it the season for riding together en flock is upon us. mixed with the whimsical whirr of our mighty bicycle machines i hear whispers of a Critical Mass forming this month, apr. 30th 5:30 at the Lief Erickson statue (12th E. and London). Ride in solidarity with our sisters and brothers around the world. See you out there.
Ugh, is this going to be another of those “duluth-is-not-bicycle-friendly” protests where a big herd of you backs up traffic?
You won’t gain the mutual respect of motorists by being a critical mass of douche bags.
BTW I ride my bike to work in Duluth year round, but you won’t see me at one of your ego-driven displays of mob stupidity.
I look forward to honking at your group AGAIN! You are not helping the situation for bikers by doing this, and that is probably why that cop ticketed those bikers who were doing a good deed.

Imagine if you turned the tables on critical mass and instead of everyone riding their bicycles, they drove their cars. And the few folks who were still on bikes? Just run ’em off the road. Oh wait, that’s the way it usually is…
Have you ever ridden your bike through the streets of Duluth in the middle of the night, when no one is out driving or walking? That is fun, but it’s nothing compared to riding with a gigantic group of bicyclists, in the middle of the day, and owning the road.
Besides sissy, suck it up, it’s too nice out to drive in a car.
Hells Bells, your statement that your intent is to “own the road” is precisely the problem. The law requires you to share the road, just as it applies to cars as well. You all do more harm than good. All you are proving is that stupidity is contagious in large groups.
