Video games are fine but playing them 40 – 60 hours a week is an issue.

Agreed. Doing anything 40-60 hours a week to the exclusion of other activities is an issue.
I hate to be a hater, but this request is for something that can only be used 1/4 or less of the year. It may not hold up well to our winters and it definitely will need more money in the short term (2-3 years).
There are many many great projects on that list. I’d love to see many of them succeed.
Camp Miller has camping and other programs year round and I see no reason a rope course can’t be used year round if the weather permits. At least April – Nov for sure.
There’s a ropes course up at Wolf Ridge in Finland that gets used year-round.
I’ve seen a rope course while hiking in west end. I think it may be at the nursing home at about 40th Ave W and 8th St. Is that ever used?

I think that could be the Northwood Children’s Home western campus. From the address you gave that sounds about right
Perhaps the YMCA can work with them to use or renovate their rope course? Seems logical to me.
Kids don’t play outside enough these days.
Camp Miller is located in Sturgeon Lake. Busses cost nearly 200 round trip to Duluth; this isn’t a feasible option for a non-profit.
C.M. is the only local entry for the 50k. Wouldn’t it be nice to support your community?
C.M. also provides scholarships to children whose families otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford summer camp. A ropes course opportunity for children to gain self-confidence and teamwork is worth every click.
