The Full Monty at the Duluth Playhouse

I saw a preview of the Duluth Playhouse production of “The Full Monty” tonight. It’s really funny! It’s a musical with some interaction with the audience. How naked are they? I’ll never tell, but I will say that I saw Pat Kelly as I’ve never seen him before. Call 733-7555 for ticket information or visit www.duluthplayhouse.org. Shows are Thursday, March 19th to Sunday, April 5th, Thursday – Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Hey Beverly, would you let an 11 year old girl attend this play?

Hi Calk. As with many things, it would depend on the kid. An 11-year-old probably would understand the underlying sexuality issues, such as couples struggling with a lack of intimacy in marriage. The nudity wouldn’t be a problem, in my opinion (and I said I wouldn’t tell!). For me, the main objection regarding children would be the profanity.
I’m not taking my kids because of its content, but I wouldn’t think badly of someone who took an 11-year-old.
So my simple answer is no, but with a lot of foot notes.

I am so glad this show got a front page free advertisement in today’s Duluth News Tribune. The Playhouse has such a small marketing budget and it’s good the word can get out about this show….

On a (slightly) less sarcastic note, naked Pat Kelly is brilliant. It’s like printin’ money.

Oh, and come check out “QED” at the Shack! Only three shows left. Pat Kelly will still be nekkid next weekend.
