
Everyone Can Bird at Barker’s Island
Free
People of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend this accessible birding event on Barker’s Island in Superior.
The event features American Sign Language interpretation, amplification of primary speakers, binoculars, a spotting scope, and a wheelchair mount for binoculars, portable seating, a track chair, a scooter and walkers. Light refreshments will be available. Bathrooms are available at the Lake Superior Estuarium.
Free bus transportation from the Superior Public Library and UW-Superior Parking Lot 2 (behind Burger King) to Barker’s Island. To reserve a spot on the bus, register on Eventbrite in advance. If you reserve spots on the bus and no longer need your seat, please email Callie (Community Outreach Coordinator) at outreach @ folsr.org.
