I read this book a few years ago (from the cheap list at B&N.com probably) and found it to be a worthy read.
I’ve met Mr. Perry a few times at book shows, is he going to be coming to the big city to talk about the book during this project? I think his sister lives here, in fact! Or is PP his cousin? He’s very funny. A nice guy.
Excellent book. If you enjoy it, read Truck: A Love Story when you’re finished. This man can really weave a tale.

I love the community read program, it’s so cool! The first year people read To Kill A Mockingbird. I hadn’t read it since high school (maybe before). I got so much more out of it reading it as an adult, and after living in different parts of the country, including the South. I’m looking forward to this community read, since people will be able to relate very well to Mr. Perry’s stories about life in small-town Wisconsin.
