Duluth artist Kwe Perry, aka Kweluude, has three tracks on the new Mixtape Project 6.0 release from DanSan Creatives.
Mixtapes are made by taking a music sample from a song by another artist and singing new lyrics over it. DanSan Creatives’ series of mixtapes were “created to foster a safe space using music as a technique for self reflection, affirmation and to educate students about how music is made,” according to a news release.
Along with the three Kweluude video releases — “Bases,” “My Life” and “The Message” — DanSan Creatives has also released the interview below, in which the 17-year-old artist talks about his craft.
