Epic Restaurant & Lounge opening soon in Superior

IMG_8305Superior will have a new fine-dining establishment with the opening of Epic Restaurant & Lounge, tentatively planned for sometime in May.

The restaurant, lounge and event venue will be located in the old Joe’s Pagoda Chinese Restaurant location at 3223 Tower Ave., between Campbell Lumber & Supply and Grizzly’s Food-Fired Grill. Joe’s Pagoda owners, Joe and Sue Hear, retired in 2015 after 16 years in business.

Epic’s manager declined to comment, but the restaurant’s Facebook page indicates the plan is to “provide a dining experience that is comfortable and casual elegant” and will feature “everyday food with a fancy twist.” Comments on the page indicate the menu will feature Angus steak and seafood. Interior photos document an extensive renovation process.

The restaurant is advertising to fill a number of positions, from servers to management and banquet staff. A Facebook post notes, “Epic servers get paid better than servers at other restaurants in Superior.”
