This is the debut of a new weekly feature on Perfect Duluth Day in which we showcase a collection of submitted pictures on a chosen theme. The first theme is “Randomness,” which is sort of the opposite of a theme, but provides some sense of the range of photos we’re looking for. The featured image is above; more images on this theme are below.

This project has been launched in an effort to keep alive some of the spirit of Daily Duluth Photo, a website that has been on hiatus since August. The idea here, however, is a bit more specific. We’re looking for Duluth-area photos that are not just of the region’s landmarks and abundant natural assets, but of the people who live, work and play here. Drawn from a weekly theme, I will (with acute subjectivity) choose a stand-out image, along with several other merit-worthy pictures.

Next week’s theme is “Home.” Send your broadly-interpreted photographs, snapshots, family-album scans, what have you, to tim @ perfectduluthday.com by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. Files should be 1000 pixels wide or tall on the longest side. Include your name, title of the photo, and the URL of your website, Flickr stream, Tumblr, or whatever you might like linked.
