Perfect Duluth Day

Cold Weather = Danger for Homeless

In recent weeks, several Duluthians experiencing homelessness have suffered severe frostbite that may require amputation. With more people homeless than any time in recent memory, and another brutal cold snap on the way, please help the Duluth Street Outreach Team keep folks safe.

If you are homeless and need assistance, or if you have tips on locations of people sleeping outside, in cars or in unheated buildings, please contact us. We will assist in finding people warm places to sleep.

Street Outreach 24-hour Hotline: 218-461-8505

The team is also in need of: warm winter boots (all adult sizes); solar and crank flashlights; hand and foot warmers; DTA bus passes (single use and stored value) and gas cards. Donations are accepted at CHUM (102 W. Second St.) from 9am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday or at Loaves & Fishes (1712 Jefferson St.) any day from 9am to 9pm.

The Duluth Street Outreach Team is a coordinated effort of CHUM, Human Development Center, Loaves & Fishes, the Salvation Army, Life House and Lutheran Social Services Street Outreach.
