Perfect Duluth Day

Call for Performers: Welcome Home {Grown} | Live {Stream}

We miss live music! We all miss live music … right?

This will be the 11th year of 2104’s Soup Social, dubbed #SoupB4Supe. Last year we were forced into the Live Stream gig … and now Bryce Kastning and I, also with support from a few others, have been producing Music Live Stream’s since April 2020. If you haven’t listened to our streams … you can pick them up as often as you want, they are at youtube.com/duluthiscool or 2104.us. As of this writing, we have created 22 streams from 2104.

For 2021 we have decided to produce live music from 2104 all week during Duluth’s Homegrown Music Festival week if there is sufficient interest from our community of fabulous performers. (Please note that Thursday’s #SoupB4Supe has already been booked out.)

We have created three stages:
(1) The Living Room Stage (bands up to four)
(2) The Dining Room Stage (intimate 1-3 people; bluegrass style)
(3) The Soup Trolley (solo performer; trolley style from the kitchen)

Bands will be limited to a maximum of four members. We will provide a house kit as well as house bass amp. Bands will split 100 percent of tips for the evening. Performers will receive a professional live mix (sound and video) of their performance that can be used for future promotion.

If you are interested in performing, please complete the application on duluthrocks.com … and hurry … the first three entrants are guaranteed a slot!

Performances should be able to perform at least 25 minutes, up to a maximum of 45 minutes. Music should be largely original. We plan on producing three live bands per night. How many nights? That depends on overall interest. Sign up. Be part of this time that we all share.

A grateful music-loving community thanks you.

*** Applications must be submitted prior to April 10 to be considered ***
