Duluth is mentioned six times in The Burnt Orange Heresy, a new movie starring Elizabeth Debicki, Donald Sutherland, Claes Bang and Mick Jagger. The fictional Duluth Star Ledger newspaper also appears, featuring the headline “Esko woman goes missing.”
Debicki plays the role of Berenice Hollis, a native of “a small town south of” Duluth, which is later revealed to be Esko. Jagger plays an art collector named Joseph Cassidy who mentions the Duluth Art Institute “used to have a really lovely Toulouse-Lautrec.”
(Esko, by the way, is a bit more west of Duluth than south.)
