It’s a good week for theater with four plays opening around Duluth. On Thursday, The Foreigner opens at the Mainstage Theatre at the Marshall Performing Arts Center on the UMD campus. On Friday, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow opens at the Duluth Playhouse along with the The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the same venue. Audience participation and showing up in RHPS costume is encouraged. If you’re looking for a less raucous affair, the Minnesota Ballet will be performing Dracula for two nights only starting Friday.

Get ready for royalty in Duluth as King Harald of Norway comes to rededicate Enger Tower.
Tuesday Oct. 18
DJs Brian Ring, Bob Monahan, and Crew Jones take over the Red Star. Also, Carmody plays host to History in a Pint featuring Dan Hartman, the program curator of Veterans’ Memorial Hall program, who will present the history of the 18 men who volunteered to serve in the Civil War from Duluth.
Thursday, Oct. 20
Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing will be at Grandma’s Sports Garden, with a silent auction benefiting Just Kids Dental beforehand.
Friday, Oct. 21
The Johnny Holm Band will take over Grandma’s Sports Garden while the Tisdales, Cars & Trucks, and Ryan Van Slooten play at R.T. Quinlan’s.
Saturday, Oct. 22
Cora Rose will perform at Beaner’s. Local artist Cody Myers showcases paintings from his latest collection, “Warriors, Women and Wise Men.”
