Perfect Duluth Day

Night Without a Home Sleepout at Wade

This year in preparation for the Night Without A Home Sleepout we have many community leaders and other community members joining together for a friendly competition. Who can raise the most money? Will it be a city councilor, or a county commissioner or just a young community member wanting to end homelessness? Go to duluthsleepout.blogspot.com and help end homelessness. If you would like to join the competition please email twinportsaction @ charter.net.

A Night Without A Home Sleep Out and Fundraiser
Saturday, Sept. 24 – Wade Stadium – Duluth MN

Hundreds of area residents will be sleeping outside Saturday September 24th at Wade Stadium in an effort to raise donations to aid the homeless in our community. Night Without a Home Sleep Out and Fundraiser will include a homelessness demo along with music and many great speakers. It will also include a very unique City Council Candidate Forum for the At-Large, 1st and 4th District Candidates. We are having a clothing, hygiene and book drive as well as raising money for local programs – Twin Ports Action Coalition and Project Homeless Connect.

A Night Without a Home asks participants not just to learn about homelessness but to be part of the solution to raise awareness of homelessness in our own community by sleeping outside for a night. The event is also intended to raise donations that will help those in our community who don’t yet have the option of a warm bed. Participants will be joined by a group of speakers featuring residents who have experienced homelessness, faith leaders, and community leaders.
