Perfect Duluth Day

“Street Talkin'”opens at Washington Gallery on Friday, June 10

Artist Jacob Rosandich is exhibiting new artwork in Street Talkin’, opening at Washington Gallery on Friday, June 10, from 6-9pm. Colorful and bold, his paintings could be called genre pieces with a concentration on line and color.

According to Rosandich, his paintings are “influenced by everyday street scenes that depict a certain mood or statement about the times. Bold color transitions and tones reflect the energy that I try to bring out of each painting.”

“Some of my work has a stained glass look that is dependent upon line and may come from my collage influences,” says Rosandich, referring to influences including Paul Cezanne and Pablo Picasso. Rosandich has a BFA degree in painting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Street Talkin’ will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5pm, or by appointment, starting June 11 and showing through June 26. The Washington Gallery is located in the former Washington Junior High School at 315 North Lake Avenue in Duluth.
