Are you interested in gardening? Would you like to have your own community garden plot? The Broadway Community Gardens in Superior has organic raised beds to rent on the corner of Hammond and Broadway (Just over the High Bridge from Duluth, across from the Red Mug coffee house).
Are you interested in promoting and fostering community, local foods, gardens and art? Would you like to help organize, or participate in, workshops in organic garden techniques, or other garden/art interests? The Broadway Community Gardens also has a variety of flower boxes to plant and maintain. We also plan to plant trees and more rose bushes in the coming season. We also encourage art in the gardens with new installations and art sculpture added each season
We need you! Your help and participation is needed.
- Rent a garden box
- Plant a second garden box and donate the produce to a local food shelf
- Volunteer to help organize events and grow the gardens
- Help organize and grow art and sculpture in the gardens
- Help plan and organize garden activities and events
We’ll have a spring season kick off meeting this coming Saturday at 11am in the Red Mug Coffee House at the corner of Hammond and Broadway in Superior. Everyone is welcome.
