Perfect Duluth Day

Public Input Needed for Bicycle Routes

If you ride your bicycle in Duluth, here is your chance to help improve the existing bike route network! On March 8, the Duluth City Council unanimously approved a Complete Streets resolution that would help instruct city engineers on how to design roadways for all users, instead of just for automobiles.

Now, data is needed to identify exactly which roads are best suited for future bicycle developments. To collect this information, we will be hosting six different public input meetings all around Duluth. Bikers and would-be cyclists are encouraged to attend and give feedback on their bicycling preferences and habits. This data will be used to create a master bike route plan that will serve as a recommendation for agencies working on these developments.

This is one example of how a roadway can be transformed to be safer for bicycles.

You only need to attend one of the following meetings:

All meetings begin at 6:00pm! Food will be provided. Feel free to attend any meeting, regardless of your home neighborhood. For more information, visit www.fitcityduluth.com/bike.
