UMD Soul Food Dinner
Soul Food is a showcase of black talent, food and culture at UMD Kirby Ballroom and Weber Music Hall. The Black Student Association was founded with the goals of bringing together students of African descent and serving as a bridge to the larger Black community in Duluth and the surrounding areas. We purposely host Soul Food during Black History Month to celebrate and appreciate the accomplishments of the black community.

For more than half a century, the International Club at UMD has been showcasing food and performances by students who share their culture at Feast of Nations. It’s one of the campus’ largest events and generally sells out. 2023 Sieur du Lhut Creativity Conference
This year's theme is communicating science in changing times with renowned science communicators Brother Guy Consolmagno SJ and Jad Abumrad. Brother Guy Consolmagno SJ is the Director of the Vatican Observatory and President of the Vatican Observatory Foundation. He earned his degrees from MIT and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. The TRUTH Project
This presentation will share the work of the Towards Recognition and University-Tribal Healing (TRUTH) Project. Formed in 2020 in response to resolutions passed by the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) insisting the University of Minnesota investigate ways to be in better relation with the eleven federally-recognized tribes in the state, TRUTH looks at the impacts the U of M has had on Indigenous peoples in Minnesota.
