Understanding Migrant Journeys: A Twin Ports Observance of World Refugee Day
The Interfaith Committee for Migrant Justice hosts an observance of global migrations. Speakers with experience in various parts of the world will share migration stories. In case of rain, the event will be moved across the street to First Lutheran Church.

All ages. Work alongside artist Tia Keobounpheng to create an immersive, temporary outdoor installation in Leif Erickson Park. Using non-invasive metal stakes that twist into the ground and bright fluorescent construction tape, participants will measure out a geometric pattern across the land to “measure the earth.”

Bus Bike Walk 2022: Mental Health Group Walk
St. Louis County presents this mental health awareness walk from Leif Erikson Park to Canal Park. Throughout the walk, participants will be provided chalk to write positive messages along the Duluth Lakewalk. Snacks will be provided along with discussion about nutrition and exercise and their relationship to overall wellness. Resources and gift bags will be distributed at the end of the event.

Duluth Slackline Gatherings are held every Tuesday evening at Leif Erikson Park from mid-spring to early winter. The events are focused on fostering community and relationships. Participants can lay in the grass, toss a Frisbee, drink a kombucha or three, and learn how to walk a slackline. The events are directly affiliated with Slackline Minnesota, a member/volunteer-run nonprofit working to facilitate the development of the Midwest slackline community with safety, success and fun at the forefront.

Northland 5K for Food Allergy 2023
The ALEIA Project presents the Northland 5K for Food Allergy Race beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Leif Erikson Park in Duluth. This is a chip-timed run/walk event with an out-and-back course that follows the Lakewalk toward Canal Park with a turn-around point just before the lighthouse. Gobble Gallop 2023
Duluth Running Company's 18th annual Thanksgiving race event, Gobble Gallop, features the Tough Turkey 1-mile run, Gobble Gallop 5k run/walk and the Gobble Giddy Up quarter-mile kid’s run. The first of the three races starts at 9 a.m. All races will start and finish on London Road near the Rose Garden at 12th Avenue East.
