DXC Winter Warmup
The Duluth Cross Country Ski Club's Winter Warmup celebrate skiers and skiing, with a focus on funding for youth ski programming. Duluth Explorers Club: “Slow Road to the South Pole”
Duluthian Dean Einerson will present stories and photos from his recent trip to the South Pole as a member of the United States Antarctic Program’s South Pole Operations Traverse. Duluth Parks and Recreation and its partner organization, the Duluth Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, are hosting five wild parsnip eradication events in July. Volunteers are needed. Round Here Concert Series: Lanue and the Nunnery

Spirit Mountain Season Pass Pickup Party
Spirit Mountain is throwing a party to get ready for the upcoming ski and snowboard season. Buyers of season passes can pickup the goods from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The party features live music from 1 to 4 p.m. and free chairlift rides for pass holders from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be family activities, yard games and scavenger hunts.

Duluthian Amy Varsek is the presenter at this Duluth Explorers Club event, sharing tales of her dogsledding and skiing adventures. Starting in January 2004, Varsek was part of a group of four female Voyageur Outward Bound School instructors who traveled 98 days across the Canadian Barrens.
