Watson graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BA in art history and then attended graduate school at the University of New Mexico where he earned his MA in Native American history. He went on to get his Ph.D. in American Art at the University of Kansas. He has taught at Central College in Iowa and the University of Wisconsin Sheboygan and is currently a professor at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay where he teaches Modern and Contemporary art.…

The film follows environmentalist Winona LaDuke as she fights to block an Enbridge pipeline that threatens sacred wild rice watersheds and her tribe's land. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sörenson received her BFA from Umeå University in Sweden and her MFA from Pratt Institute in New York supported by her Fulbright Scholarship. In 2014 she graduated from a yearlong post-master program in performance art in Brussels, Belgium.
