Thousands of families go trick or treating within the Lake Superior Zoo grounds during three Boo at the Zoo events -- Oct. 16, 23 and 30. Wild Winter Craft Show
This craft village for zoo patrons features a variety of vendors, including Josie’s Gemstones, Cheesecake & Company, Keek’s Kreations, Sheila’s Signs & Designs, Colorstreet, Pampered Pup by Presley, Molly Ovenden Creativity. Zoo admission is $14 for adults, $7 for children ages 3-12 and free for ages 2 and under.

Lake Superior Zoo presents an all-new after-hours event featuring six giant animal inflatables and an assortment of holiday-themed lights. Attendees will also get to see animals like ring-tailed lemurs, black crested mangabey monkeys, sloth and more. Lake Superior Zoo presents its light display event featuring giant animal inflatables. Families can enjoy free s’mores, visits from Santa, Grinch appearances and live holiday music on select dates. Zoo La Palooza
In 1923, Bert E. Onsgard founded the Duluth Zoo with a young white-tailed deer named Billy. One-hundred years later, so much has been achieved in Fairmont Park and the Lake Superior Zoo. Zoo La Palooza is a celebration of the zoo's centennial birthday. Big Time Jazz Orchestra at Lake Superior Zoo
The Big Time Jazz Orchestra plays a benefit concert for the Lake Superior Zoo. This large ensemble jazz group will perform classics and contemporary jazz expressions. Fuse Duluth, the young professional’s division of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, offers presentations by local leaders in its Ignite Your Fuse luncheon series on select Thursdays throughout the year. In this edition, Lake Superior Zoo Executive Director Haley Hedstrom will share about happenings at the zoo, including the new red pandas exhibit.
