McTavish is a media composer, cellist and installation artist whose work blends data, text, code, sound and abstract, layered moving images. Woodfill's work is focused on direct experience through the composition of objects, occurrences and site. To fully introduce…

Artist Talk with Tim White and Allen Killian-Moore
The work of photographer Tim White and filmmaker Allen Killian-Moore shares various aesthetic and thematic traits while still retaining each artist’s individual viewpoint. In two newly opened exhibitions, installed side by side, these artists’ works invite viewers into a visual and aural dialogue between the “still” and “moving” image. Joseph Nease Gallery hosts a literal dialogue between Killian-Moore and White regarding points of connection (and perhaps disconnection) in their work and their process. It's an opportunity to witness two artists…

Generative Textile Drawings by Kathy McTavish
McTavish's typical artwork and media is the moving image, advancing and non-repeating code and projection -- work that lends itself to extended viewing. But as the viewer tries to observe if there are patterns or repeats, one can never be sure if they exist and the images are not visible long enough for detailed study before they morph and change under the machine's creative work. For further information, contact the gallery’s manager, Amanda Hunter, by email at [email protected] or by…
