Duluth Dylan Fest 2017: Poets of the North County
Karen Sunderman hosts this event featuring readings by Duluth Poet Laureate Ellie Schoenfeld, past poets laureate Jim Johnson, Shelia Packa and Deborah Cooper and Wisconsin Poet Laureate 2013-14 Max Garland. Andrew Lipke will perform music. There will also be reads by local poets Gary Boelhower, Liz Minette, Ed Newman, Don Dass, Steve Downing, Julie Gard and Amy Lynn. There is an after-party at 8:30 p.m. with the Basement Tapes Band in the Rex Bar at Fitger's.

Lake Superior Design Retreat 2018
The American Institute of Architects presents the 30th annual Lake Superior Design Retreat at Fitger's Spirit of the North theater on Feb 23 and 24. Six seemingly unrelated speakers with diverse backgrounds will come together to discuss their passions and enthusiasm for their creative work/avocation as they search for and find common ground, along with audience members.
