Intro to Pottery: Throwing Mugs Class
This class consists of two sessions held Nov. 9 and 11. There are two time options; participants can choose to attend the 4 to 6 p.m. class or the 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. class. Students will be introduced to the basics of pottery. Topics include: throwing, trimming, handle pulling/attachment and glazing. Intro to Pottery: Throwing Mugs
This class consists of two Saturday sessions, Jan. 7 and Jan. 14. Students will be introduced to the basics of pottery. The cost includes kiln firing one piece. Firing additional pieces will be charged accordingly. An additional "glazing session" will be scheduled with the student, or at the student's discretion, the teacher will glaze pieces for the student.

This two-hour class presents the basics of the lapidary arts, which is the art of working in stone. Instructor Amanda will teach students about local rocks and minerals, and the saws and tools to safely cut, form and polish them. The class will include demonstrations and hands-on learning. This introductory class is the first step to becoming lapidary-studio certified.

A two-part class on Thursday, January 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to noon. Bee Box Building
Learn about native pollinators and build a bee box to attract them to your garden. Blue orchard mason bees are native pollinators and two to three times more effective than introduced honeybees. CNC Basics: Slab Leveling
Students can get their feet wet with a big Computer Numerical Control router. This class shows participants how to setup a Face pass in Fusion 360 and how to use the big CNC to level a slab of wood. Students must be familiar with basic computer operation such as downloading and installing programs, identifying file types, and saving files to USB drives. A personal laptop is preferred to simplify future project setup.

Rock Painting Class
