Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center
The Boulder Lake Management Area contains over 18,000 acres of land and water, 18 miles north of Duluth in the townships of Gnesen and Fredenberg. The area features interpretive trails and the environmental learning center offers public programs and formal environmental education activities.

Exploring the Native Orchids of the Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center Area
Orchid plants are much more than the showy, exotic images that often come to mind when you hear the word orchid. Mushrooms 101 and Guided Hike with Ariel’s Mushroom Co.
Attend a beginner mushroom class with a guided hike to put the learned skills to practice. The class covers the basics of mushroom foraging in the Midwest.
