Bayside Sounds: Whiskey Trail
Whiskey Trail is a Duluth-based country band led by singer Heidi Pack, backed by Josh Maynard, Jim Holbeck, Garrett Ness, Ryan Holte and Judea Thomas. The eight-week Bayside Sounds concert series takes place in various parks around Superior. The bands play two 45-minute sets from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, snacks and beverages. These are free, family-friendly events. Attendees are asked to follow physical-distancing guidelines and protocols. Masks are recommended.

Superior’s Fourth of July Celebration 2022 (Postponed)
Superior's fireworks display and Barker's Island events have been postponed due to rain. The rescheduled date has not been announced. Superior's 25th annual Fourth of July Celebration features live music by Born Too Late at 6 p.m. and PopRocks! at 8:15 p.m. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. The city of Superior encourages all attending festivities on Barker’s Island to consider walking or riding a bicycle onto the island. Cause for the Paws 5K Walk/Run 2022
The Humane Society of Douglas County's 24th annual fundraiser for its shelter begins at the entry to Barker's Island next to Highway 2 and marches down the Osaugie Trail. The Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival runs Aug. 25-26, with races starting at 8 a.m. on Aug. 26. Organized by Rotary Club of Superior, the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is the largest event in Superior and has raised more than $1.3 million to support charitable organizations in the Twin Ports. This year, the festival will be raising funds for 23rd Veteran, a local nonprofit focusing on military and veterans who have experienced trauma.
